ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Computer Science was given the status of the separate department in 2003. Since inception, it has grown in stature to be rankled amongst the best in the university. The department currently offers MCA, M.Sc in Computer Science, M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in Computer Science.

The coursed offered in the department meet the requirements of both the industry and research. The curriculum is designed to train the students in developing application programmes (software) and also designing and developing computing systems (hardware).

The faculty of the department is actively engaged in research in the areas of Cryptography & Network Security, privacy preserving Data mining, Artificial intelligence, and Software Engineering. The faculty members are collaborating with organizations/institutions for extension activities.

Profile of the Department:

The department is boon to have efficient and technical qualified faculty who continuously updating their knowledge as per requirement of present world technology and forwarding the fruitful knowledge to the students.
The department is consistently achieving more than 99% results in all the courses offered. Along with education our students are participating in the development of projects as per the needs of various departments in the university and also department is participating in extension activities like blood donation camps, AIDS awareness programs etc.,
